1965 Chrysler Crown Imperial Convertible
Crown Imperial Convertible
1965 Chrysler Crown Imperial. This unrestored Imperial crown convertible runs and drives. This one has painted in baby blue and we estimate it was done in the late 80's early 90's It is paired up with a Dark Blue cloth convertible top. Under the hood of this land yacht is a bold 413 CID V8 pair with a smooth 3-speed TorqueFlite transmission. What makes these big land yachts so unique for this year is its big chrome front grill instead of the split grill. Then the headlights where pushed back into the grill and covered in glass to give the car is imitating look. The interior on this one has been wrapped in a plush white interior that is super comfortable. These beautiful Chryslers really where built for comfort and luxury to compete with the other high end vehicle of its time. Overall the car is a driver/project that is complete. Powe rwindows work when they want and the top is slow to work. Starts and runs with no issues. Brake booster may need to be replaced. Brakes stop the car but the pedal is harder then it should be. The body has areas of touch up paint and Im sure there's been body work over the years. Solid undercarriage.
